The Value of Time

Got this in a mail today... found it good so here it goes....

Imagine if there were a bank that credits your account each morning with $86,400, and carries over no balance from day to day. Every evening it deletes whatever part of the balance you failed to use during the day.

What would you do? Draw out all of it, of course.

Each of us has such a bank. It's name is Time.

Every morning, it credits us with 86,400 seconds. Every night it writes off, as lost, whatever of this we have failed to invest to good purpose. It carries over no balance. It allows no overdraft.
Each day it opens a new account for us.

Each night it burns the remains of the day.

If we fail to use the day's deposits, the loss is ours.

There is no going back. There is no drawing against "tomorrow."We must live in the present on today's deposits. Invest it so as to get from it the utmost in health, happiness, and success. The clock is running.

Make the most of today.

Background Check.

This is a short description of who i am, What i do and a little bit of my interests so that the future articles that i intend on posting would be taken up in the right frame of reference.
And No i am not involved with Physics in any way.
I am an Indian presently in the US for business. By profession i am a software engineer and by preference i am a writer.. well atleast i intend to be one.
Of all the things that i enjoy doing, i like writing the most. I generally try my hands on humor and poems (samples available in my other blogs .. links to the right) but most of all i just like to pen down (rather type down) what ever thoughts come to my mind and ponder over them.
My chilhood had seen hobbies ranging from knitting to collecting stamps and coins (will not take the pains to put in the jargons for the same... like to keep it simple) but they have all deserted me now.
The problem that i face now is to attend 12 hours of meeting ( i am in the US on a B1) every single day, Note down the requirements that the client expects and convey the same without any ambiguity to my team offshore, which would be developing the code.
With 12 hrs of meeting i hardly find any time to write and my only past time seems to have taken a back seat.. Well i do hope to revive it now.. i plan to write something, no matter how insigificant, to this blog, every single day that i have access to the blogger, so that i do keep in touch with the writer within...
I know that i am not a very good writer, but i aspire to be one and here's the first step towards making it a reality. Some day ill freelance.
Thats all for todays post, will try and stick to the schedule.

Here's something to live by...
"A part of me wants to be a writer, a poet, a dancer, an engineer, a politician, a spiritual leader, an actor... if i just select one and be good at it would it not be akin to killing my other parts -Anon"
